The Pilgrims’ handsome tally of 62 goals this season has been shared around the squad to such an extent that Graham Carey is leading scorer with a total 12, while another 16 players have contributed to the remaining half-century.
“He has been a pivotal part in how well we have done,” said Argyle manager Derek Adams on the eve of Argyle’s Tuesday night Sky Bet League Two trip to Wycombe Wanderers, “but we have a lot of match winners in the team
“We are up there with the highest scorers in the league and that shows you how fluently we play and that, when the chances come along, we have the players capable of scoring goals.
“If you look across the midfield and to the strikers, we have got players who can score goals and create chances and who can also score goals from set-plays, as well.
“Going into the last ten games, we are going to need everybody to chip in that way.”
Both Argyle’s goals in the 2-0 win at Mansfield Town on Saturday that kept them comfortably in second place in league Two came from Graham Carey free-kicks – an assist for centre-back Sony Bradley’s opener followed by a stunning direct strike.
Derek said: “Any small margins you can get against opposition are going to benefit you and we did that on Saturday.
“Sonny Bradley has got six goals and he can score a few more between now and the end of the season. He is a powerful player he is very good in the air and he has scored a number of important goals so far and he will continue to do that.”
