GRAHAM Carey and Matty Kennedy dominate the quarter final draw for Argyle's Goal of the Season competition for 2016-17.

Both of Kennedy's strikes that made the last 16 progressed to the quarters, as did three of the five goals that Carey had on the original shortlist. Goals from Craig Tanner, Jimmy Spencer and Connor Smith complete the quarter final line-up.

Carey's sublime solo goal against Mansfield at Home Park won by the largest margin of any first round tie, scoring 84.07% of the vote in beating Jake Jervis' Notts County goal. Carey's other winners polled high marks: his goals at home to Yeovil and Morecambe both scored over 70% in the ballot. The only other comfortable winner saw Kennedy's stunner against Leyton Orient (70.57%) beat Carey's Cambridge strike.

The other four ties were very close, including Spencer's win, for his goal against Yeovil, over Carey's direct free-kick at Mansfield, decided by a fewer than 3% margin.

The results of the first round vote are below. At the bottom of the page you can see a video of the quarter final line-up, including all eight remaining goals again, for your enjoyment.
