WE have been drawn against Leyton Orient the first round of this season’s Capital One Cup.

The tie will see the Pilgrims host the Sky Bet League 1 outfit on the week beginning Monday, August 11.

John Sheridan’s men will be looking to better their recent Capital One Cup record, which has seen the Pilgrims progress past the first round just once in the past three seasons – thanks to a 3-0 home win over then League 1 side Portsmouth.

Last season saw the Pilgrims bow out to Championship side Birmingham City 3-2 in a game which saw striker Lewis Alessandra grab his first two goals in Green, one of which was nominated as Argyle’s Goal of the Year for 2013.

In other cup news, we have been drawn at home to Exmouth Town in the second round of the Devon St Luke’s Cup.

The match will take place at Home Park, on a date to be arranged on or before October 31.

Ticket news for both matches will be announced in due course.
