ARGYLE'S newest signing enjoyed a fantastic debut on a special Community day at Home Park.
The state-of-the-art Soccerena welcomed youngsters from four local schools as part of the 'Playing with Words' challenge.
Argyle's Football in the Community Department teamed up with the Pilgrim Centre to offer the chosen schools a fun-filled morning of learning through football.
Over 100 pupils from South Trelawney Primary, Pennycross Primary, Marlborough Primary and St Breock Primary enjoyed coaching sessions and small-sided games in the Soccerena.
The youngsters also completed a mystery word puzzle in the stadium seats and were taken on a ground tour of the Theatre of Greens.
Pupils also received Argyle goodie bags and the teachers were all in agreement that the day was another fine success in the National Year of Reading 2008.
Community Scheme Manager Mark Rivers said: "We are delighted with the Soccerena.
"It will give us a great opportunity to become more active within the local community and to be able to deliver football sessions in some of the more deprived areas of the City.
"I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Community safety partnership in Plymouth and Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue for providing the funding for the Soccerena."
