ARGYLE'S Disability Section would like to thank Plymouth Mental Health Forum for their kind sponsorship, which enabled them to purchase a new kit for their ladies team.
Last season, the Disability Section took honours in each of the men's divisions, with one ladies' and two men's teams going to the national finals in London, to represent the South West. Each team came third in their respective leagues.
Argyle Disability Officer Graham Eyles said: "I would like to thank the 50-50 Lottery and C&G Catering for their sponsorship towards the cost of this trip, and also Bestways Cash & Carry for supplying us with bottled water."
The under-16 team went to a tournament in Northampton as defending champions and won their group before losing a penalty shoot-out to a very strong Northampton Town team in the final. Players and parents came away with their heads held high for their display, on and off the pitch.
This season, the Disability Section is entering six men's teams, one ladies team, and junior and youth teams into the South West Ability Counts league.
Training is held at Lipson Community College, with the senior groups will be starting back this Tuesday at 7.30-8.30pm. Junior and youth teams will resume training on Sunday, September 5 at 10-11am.
Anybody who would like to join is most welcome. Contact Graham on 07894 584878 or email him at eyles19@hotmail.com.
