IT began with a Football in the Community course at Home Park and ended in Southern Uganda.
After attending a social inclusion course at Argyle, Chris Mercer explored the possibility of us becoming involved in his voluntary teaching trip to Africa.
Chris eventually arrived at his destination - Kyabira Primary School in Uganda - loaded with a bundle of Green goodies, kindly donated by Gordon Bennett from the Argyle youth department.
He was able to present the school with a full Argyle kit just days before an important match against another school from the area.
A proud Kyabira school team battled their way to an exciting 2-2 draw to christen their new kit in style.

The school receives only two dollars from the government per year for each child and yet the cost of educating each child is great.
Teachers are poorly paid and facilities, although greatly improved thanks to volunteers, are basic. Classes range from 75 to 200 pupils and it is estimated that there are 1,200 children at the school in total.
Families are too poor to send their children to school at the same time and some can't go until they are older, not making it through Primary School before they are eighteen.
These children are captivating and inspirational, tough and positive despite living in poverty. Many of them are HIV orphans and work extremely hard at home before and after school-time.
Sometimes they cannot afford to have any food during the day and fall asleep at school. Many children walk miles to school after rising early and fetching water for the family.
Life is tough but they are always ready to smile.
