ARGYLE'S Football in the Community Trust is proud to announce they have been awarded the chance to build upon last summer's huge successes and will be delivering National Citizen Service again this August.
NCS is a nationwide programme that targets Year 11 school leavers and challenges them to improve their social and employability skills throughout the summer, in order to further achieve at college/sixth form or employment.
The programme, made up of two week-long residential courses, sees participants take part in exciting outdoor sports, and gain qualifications and create a unique opportunity to gain valuable work experience.
The project also gives those leaving school this summer the chance to experience life outside of the place they grew up in, meet new people, have fun, and give something back to their local community.

Last year, 130 local 16-year-olds took part in the exciting project which saw them playing paintball against community coaches, abseiling down cliff faces, and training with the Army.
Social Inclusion Officer Dwain Morgan was pleased that the Trust is again running such an important programme.
He said: "Last year, we really saw the difference in some of the young people after the course had finished, so I'm delighted to be able to run the programme for another batch of Plymouth school-leavers.
"The NCS is one of the most rewarding projects to be involved with and, on behalf of the Community Trust, we're delighted to be offering it again."
The project also creates a volunteering opportunity where local young people, using their newly developed skills, can make positive contributions throughout Plymouth.
Last summer, NCS participants helped serve charity dinners, revamp classrooms, and deliver free soccer courses to local primary schools.

This year, participants will have the chance to spend two week-long residentials tackling high-wire courses, mountain-boarding, gauge-walking and many more.
The four-six week programme costs £50, which includes all accommodation, food, activities and transport to residential venues. The price also includes training kit and a special graduation ceremony day out.
However, this year, Argyle can accommodate only 90 participants, so if this sounds like the summer for you, then act fast to avoid disappointment.
