WE received the following e-mail in November. There is no better way to explain the benefits of our fantastic mascot package:

I just wanted to say a huge thank you for making James' birthday such a success. He thought that the entire day was in his own words "amazing" and he clearly loved every single moment of it even though the result wasn't what he wanted. What surprised me as well was how much the whole family loved the day out. We were so impressed with every single member of Argyle staff we met throughout the day - everyone was so welcoming and helpful.

It was fantastic that all of our party could go on the stadium tour and it was great to be able to see the changing rooms, walk down the tunnel and to sit in the dug- out on the side of the pitch. James took particular notice of the sweets and jaffa cakes which were in the changing rooms and he seems to think that if they're good enough for the Argyle players to eat at half time then it's something he should have when playing for his Under-10's. The man who showed us around was so helpful and answered all our questions so patiently, so a huge thank you to him.

I would also like to pass on my thanks to the mascot nanny and her assistant who were so friendly and accommodating. James loved visiting the players in the changing room and also visiting the Chairman in the Board Room, and he has already got his Dad to put his certificate on his bedroom wall, needless to say the Mars bar he was given didn't make it home. It was brilliant that James could warm up on the pitch and I think he particularly loved this. He was delighted when someone commented on his 'sweet left foot' and I know that he will always treasure that moment on the pitch.

I think what made the day complete for James was when he was presented with his mug as a momento of his day and he was delighted with his signed birthday card from the team. He has so many special momentos of his day and he really has not stopped talking about the day since. He has phoned up various members of the family to fill them in and doesn't leave out the fact that they played "Happy Birthday to you" when he collected his mug from Craig Noone.

Thanks for organising such a perfect day and for making James' 10th birthday such a great day. My youngest son Thomas, who is 4, has already said that he wants to be a mascot like James when he is 10. I will certainly be recommending the mascot package to other Argyle fans.
