YEOVIL LADIES 1 ARGYLE LADIES 2
ARGYLE Ladies began their new league programme by taking all three points at Yeovil Town on Sunday.
Manager Chris Benham took his new look, and largely untried, Argyle squad containing several new signings to Somerset more in hope than expectation to pit their skills against one of the champioship favourites.
In a hard fought encounter, Yeovil took the lead in the first half, but the Pilgrims came from behind in the second half to win 2-1.
Shortly after the restart, Laura Perrett, having been brought down by the Yeovil 'keeper, converted the spot-kick with a firm rising shot.
On 75 mins Rebekah Rose finished off a neat move with a shot past the diving 'keeper to the delight of her team-mates and the travelling supporters .
