GET WELL SOON LAURA

Posted on: Tue 15 Dec 2009

ARGYLE Ladies leading scorer Laura Gough underwent a heart valve replacement operation in a Bristol hospital a few days ago.

Sources close to Laura say the operation went well, and it is hoped that she may be allowed home in a few days time to continue her recuperation. That is great news for Laura and everyone linked with her.

In only her first season with the Pilgrims Laura has already made a big impact on the team, getting herself on the scoresheet no less than 12 times in 10 matches. Though she is a natural goalscorer, there is more to her game than that.

On many occasions this season she has been required to play the lone-striker role, which, as everyone knows needs a lot of energy and hard work, something Laura posesses in abundance.

Laura's recovery will take time, and everyone at Home Park sends Laura their best wishes, and hope it won't be too long before we see her at a match, if only as a spectator.
