HEAD of youth coaching Kevin Hodges, former Argyle striker Ian Stonebridge and technical development coach Phil Stokes have just arrived back at Home Park after their cycle ride from Lands End to raise funds for the club's Academy programme.
Throughout the two days, the boys stopped off at some of the region's most famous landmarks, with the assistance of support vehicle driver, Tom Hunter.
Having arrived back at Home Park this afternoon, Hodgey, tired and aching, was pleased to be home.
He said: "I was very pleased to see the Home Park stadium after a long day, it was the camaraderie with Ian and Phil that I think kept us all going."
"It was very difficult, but definitely worth the cause.
"I would be willing to do it again next year, as I enjoyed the experience, although next time around Ian can cycle to John o'Groats!
"He kept cycling off in front, returning to check on us, and then cycling off again."
As well as fond words for the two fellow cyclists Kevin was quick to acknowledge the support of Cycle Action of Torpoint, who donated the bikes, and St Austell Brewery who provided an overnight rest in Truro.
"St Austell Brewery provided us all with great accommodation and brilliant food. It was a much needed rest."
