NEW SHOP OPENING
ARGYLE are coming to town.
The Pilgrims are opening a new superstore in Plymouth's Drake Circus shopping mall on Tuesday July 31st 1.30pm.
The shop will be called the Argyle Centre Spot, reflecting its prominent position in Plymouth, and will be on the first level of the new city shopping precinct.
Argyle chief executive Michael Dunford said: "We are delighted that we now have a permanent presence in Plymouth city centre.
"If you are going to have a shop anywhere in Plymouth, then it has to be Drake Circus.
"The addition of a city centre retail unit to our already popular Argyle Superstore at Home Park will help satisfy the demands of the Green Army for Argyle merchandise.
"It is further evidence of the club's commercial and retail strength."
As well as stocking a huge range of official Argyle products, the Centre Spot will be selling tickets for all Pilgrims' games, home and away.
"For the first time, Argyle fans will be able to buy a ticket for any of our matches without needing to come up to Home Park," said Dunford.
Some of the squad - led by skipper Paul Wotton, star striker Sylvan Ebanks-Blake and England Under-17 sensation Dan Gosling - will be paying a trip to Plymouth's Drake Circus shopping mall for the grand opening of the Argyle Centre Spot, our brand new retail unit in the heart of the city.
Ollie, however, has had to absent himself from the 1.30pm opening ceremony as he has had to go on an important scouting mission.
Also on that day, Argyle fans will be able to get their first look at the Pilgrims' brand new Puma home and away strips.
