ARGYLE director Damon Lenszner will be appearing on Gordon Sparks' radio programme on Tuesday morning to launch a cheeky new calendar featuring the Argyle players.

Damon will reveal all on Sparksy's BBC Devon breakfast show…before the Argyle players reveal (nearly) all for the charity calendar.

They will be getting their kit off for pictures for the calendar - all done in the best possible taste, of course - which will go on sale in time for the beginning of the new season.

Proceeds will go to the Mustard Tree Macmillan cancer relief charity at Plymouth's Derriford Hospital.

The Mustard Tree Appeal aims to improve support and aftercare for those who have been diagnosed with all forms of cancer.

Sparksy successfully came through testicular cancer last year and subsequently launched his own campaign to raise awareness for the Mustard Tree Appeal.

He said: "The directors and staff of Plymouth Argyle have been so generous in supporting 'Have A Ball with Sparksy' since it was launched at Home Park last season.

"If I were to single out anyone, it would be Romain Larrieu, who went through a similar operation to me. Not only did he offer to help in any way, he phoned to let me know what he had done!

"Your support in buying this calendar will directly help cancer patients at the Mustard Tree, Derriford Hospital. The understanding and advice available is a magnificent service, and long may it continue to all who will benefit.

"To those who have posed for the calendar - you have my full admiration!"
