NEW PILGRIM
THERE is a super brand new look to the match-day programme 'The Pilgrim' this year
We've re-designed the front cover to give it a new look for the new season, but, on an 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' basis, we've kept the basic look from last season.
The programme was very well received in all quarters last year and was nominated for several awards, including the prestigious Football League Programme of the Year Award.
However, we have introduced a whole host of new features - as well as keeping some old favorites.
One of the new features is a 'Where Are Are They Now?'-style article, written by Rupert Metcalf, the chief sportswriter of the Western Morning News.
Rupert will be catching up with former Pilgrims still plying their trade around the world - Marino Keith is this Saturday's featured player.
We will also have a regular column from Rob McNichol, a qualified referee. Rob will be looking at the life of the man in the middle.
Tricky Trivia pages have been included to keep fans amused before and after the game, and during the half-time interval. One of the highlights of this feature is a sports crossword, but there is also the return of the ever-popular, 'Where's Disco?'
For the first time in four seasons, the cover price of the Pilgrim has been increased and will now retail at £3.
Head of Communications Rick Cowdery said: "We have held the price of the Pilgrim as long as we possibly can, but the increase in production costs has finally made this small rise necessary.
"At £3, the programme is exceptionally good value for money and the new price is in line with the Coca-Cola Championship standard."
