DEFENDER Gary Sawyer's ankle injury is not as serious as was feared, although he will still be out of action for a few weeks.

There were concerns that Gary had broken his ankle after falling awkwardly towards the end of our 2-1 Pontins League victory over Bristol Rovers on Tuesday.

He was stretchered off and taken to hospital.

However, examinations have revealed no break, and that Gary has merely sprained ligaments and tendons around the joint.
