EASTER COMPLETES MOVE
ARGYLE have completed the signing of Welsh international striker Jermaine Easter from Wycombe Wanderers.
Easter, 25, joined on the Pilgrims on loan in October, and the two clubs have agreed to make the deal permanent for an undisclosed fee.
The former Wolves' trainee has made 14 appearances for the Pilgrims, starting five of the last six matches, and scored twice.
A powerful striker with pace to burn and a proven goal-scoring record, Jermaine has also had spells with Hartlepool, Cambridge, Boston and Stockport before moving to Wycombe ayear and a half ago.
The move to Adams Park seemed to ignite his career and he ended last season with 17 goals for the Chairboys.
He scored the only goal of Wanderers' Carling Cup quarter-final win over Charlton Athletic, and followed that with a goal in the first leg draw against Chelsea, ending the Blues' perfect run of clean sheets.
Such form led to Easter transfer speculation about a move to Premiership sides Manchester City and Blackburn Rovers early last year.
At the same time, he received his first call-up to the Welsh national team for February's friendly against Northern Ireland, and made his debut as a substitute.
In March, he made his first international start against San Marino, and he ended the season by being named in the PFA League Two Team of the Year.
