HAPPY HUNGARIANS
HUNGARIAN duo Krisztián Timár and Péter Halmosi were feeling buoyant after their starring roles in Argyle's 3-1 win over Burnley at Home Park.
Timár was awarded the man-of-the-match award for his excellent performance in defence, while Péter will get the headlines for his match-winning double.
It was Argyle's fourth successive win and lifted the Pilgrims to fifth in the Championship table.
"We are very happy and very confident now," said Timár.
"We played a quality game with quality football and we can go further because we created a lot of chances.
"The defence played very well and we are creating many chances up front."
Krisztián's partnership with new loan signing Russell Anderson seems to have sparked immediately, with both men performing admirably against a quality Burnley side.
Anderson and Gary Teale are most recent recruits to the Argyle cause, and Krisztián feels they have added to the quality in a much-changed squad.
He said: "He [Anderson] is a good player and, because he is a good player, it is to work together. He knows his job and I know my job.
"We have had lots of injuries and there are lots of games. We had a small squad and we are very happy with them [the new signings] because they are all good players.
"We have got good players and I think we can stay in the top six."
Halmosi was naturally pleased with his performance and he gave a brief explanation on two very different goals.
His first goal was a scrambled effort to make the score 2-1, but the second was a wonderful drive after out-muscling Clarets' defender Jon Harley.
He said: "I am very happy.
"It [the first goal] was a very good ball from MacLean and I tried to give it back to him, but it was slippery and the ball bounced off the 'keeper, so I just got it over the line.
"[For the second goal] the ball bounced and I used my body to come inside and then strike the ball."
Next up for the Pilgrims is a difficult trip to West Bromwich Albion, and Krisztian is feeling very confident.
He said: "We are on a good run with four wins and they [West Brom] are on a bad run.
"They lost again today, so they have to win at home, which should make it a good game."
