STEVE MacLean has the Premier League in his sights.
MacLean scored Argyle's third in a 4-1 win over bottom side Colchester that took the Pilgrims back up to sixth place in the Championship, the last of the four play-off slots.
The Scot believes the Pilgrims are capable of maintaining the form that has seen them win five of their last six matches, and extending their season.
"We're sixth and we know that, if we keep winning games, we are going to be there or thereabouts," he said.
"Yes, we're excited, but we are keeping our feet on the ground. We're going to keep working hard on the training-pitch and hopefully we can do it.
"We've set ourselves a points-target. We'll keep that behind closed doors and we'll strive to get it.
"We'll not get ahead of ourselves. We'll go into every game looking to win.
"If we keep plugging away, I can't see why we can't stay there. If you can get in the play-offs, who knows?
"It's a big week for us. We've got Sheffield United on Saturday - win that and win at Scunthorpe next Tuesday, and we're in with a right shout.
"I came here because I thought we had a chance. I didn't come here to sit middle table.
"I know Colchester are bottom of the league, but the gaffer was getting across to us that it could have been a banana-skin.
"First and foremost, we got three points. It wasn't the best performance of the season, but we'll take ten more of them."
Macca struck home a 25-yard free-kick at the Devonport end after a feint involving Peter Halmosi.
"We've worked on it in training - me and Peter and Summers [Kevin Summerfield] - and fortunately it went in," he said. "We were delighted with that. We tried it a few weeks ago and it got deflected. I think it was going in.
"An old friend of mine, Peter Beagrie, gave me that when I was at Scunthorpe. Me and him used to work on that."
Macca was equally delighted that his strike parter, Jermaine Easter, also found the net, scoring the Pilgrims' second.
"I don't know if a lot has been said about it, but we've not been scoring of late," said Macca, "although we've been doing lots of other things.
"I was so happy for him to get a goal, and also I was pleased to get a a goal myself.
"He deserves it. His all-round play has been different class since he's got in the team.
"If I score, I score; if I don't, I don't - I'll not beat myself up.
"I want to score goals but, at the end of the day, if I can contribute and develop the team in other ways, and we can win games...at the end of the day, it's all about the team."
