TAKING YOUR CHANCE

Posted on: Fri 14 Mar 2008

JAMIE Mackie showed his Championship credentials with an impressive full debut in the 1-0 defeat at Scunthorpe United on Tuesday night.

The former Exeter man scored a brace in his first substitute appearance for Argyle against Barnsley and he has always looked a threat.

He took that form into the game at Glanford Park and manager Paul Sturrock was very pleased with the performance.

"He did not look out of place," said Luggy.

"He has got a bit of work to do but, for his first game, he came out with flying colours.

"I am not knocking the lad. He has done very well and some of our more experienced players did not play to that standard.

"He showed me a belief and that is what I want from the others."
