RACE FOR RORY
RORY Fallon faces a race to be fit for the weekend clash with Coventry City at the Ricoh Arena.
After a couple of impressive performances, in particular his two goals away at Bristol City, the New Zealander will be hoping to prove himself to be fit for Saturday.
Manager Paul Sturrock said: "He will be given every opportunity to make himself available.
The injury has been identified as a "ligament strain in his ankle" and Luggy is looking to see whether the ankle will heal properly or perhaps benefit from some strapping to allow Fallon to feature.
With regard to Péter Halmosi's knee problems, Luggy said: "The medical team, specialist, myself and Péter have obviously been in discussions as to what is the best course of action.
"The severity of it, with the swelling, makes it hard to make a judgment, so it is very difficult to give an opinion.
"He is suspended for Saturday, so that will give us a bit of time to assess him."
There was brighter news regarding Matt Doumbe. After weeks spent trying to shake off a niggling hamstring problem, it looks like a return to action could come soon for the Frenchman.
"He will start training on Monday and start getting himself back up to speed." said Luggy.
Lee Hodges looks set to miss this weekend's action to avoid flaring up a troublesome achillies problem, while Nick Chadwick is suffering from bruising in his knee that is preventing him from getting back into action.
