TWO players fighting for one position is the scenario Argyle manager Paul Sturrock wants to repeat right through his team.
Luggy has started by securing goalkeeping duo Romain Larrieu and Luke McCormick on extended deals.
Romain is expected to recover from fitness problems in time for next season as Luggy looks to increase competition within his squad.
"It is fantastic the two of them have decided to commit to the football club," he said.
"I have two competitive goalkeepers, although Romain has obviously had this problem, which should be all sorted by next season.
"That is what I want all through the team - two people vying for the same spot. If I can get that, then you have a very hungry squad and a competitive squad."
