JERMAINE Easter has been ruled out of the Welsh squad for the upcoming friendlies with Iceland and Holland because of injury.

The tenacious forward was named in the squad by Wales boss John Toshack but will miss out with tendonitis in the knee.

It is obviously a disappointment for the striker who has spoken before of his pride in pulling on the Welsh jersey.

Easter has already won seven caps for his country and three since he moved to Argyle from Wycombe Wanderers last season.
