WEBBE SUPPORT
FORMER Blue singer, Simon Webbe and emerging Scottish band, the Acutones are set to support Westlife at the Live and Kicking event at Home Park on Saturday.
Webbe's first solo album 'Sanctuary', sold 700,000 copies and featured hit singles such as 'Lay Your Hands On Me' and the soulful pop song 'No Worries'.

The Acutones were finalists of AYRPLAY 2008, Scotland's Burn's Showcase for New Bands Competition and having successfully made a name for themselves in venues throughout Scotland with their appealing mix of pop funk tunes, have now come south of the border playing gigs at major venues including Liverpool's legendary 'Cavern Club' and taking main stage at this year's Epsom Derby.
Westlife make a much anticipated visit to Plymouth Argyle on Saturday, June 28 with their spectacular live show which is sure to delight the many thousands of their fans throughout the South West. Westlife are now one of the biggest selling groups of all time having amassed record sales of more than 40 million since they began in 1998.

It stayed in the charts for more than nine years following its 1977 release, has sold more than 37 million copies, and, after almost 30 years, still sells around 200,000 copies annually.
The two-day Live and Kicking Concert kicks off with Meat Loaf's support act, 'Hogg'; a 3-piece rockin' RnB band which includes stylish vocalist, John Hogg, Jesse Wood (oldest son of Rollin' Stones legend, Ronnie Wood) on guitar and Martin Wright on drums.

Argyle Chief Executive Michael Dunford said: "In terms of live shows, they don't come much better than Meat Loaf and Westlife and we're delighted to have made these two huge summer signings which now include some great support acts.
"We hope that the success of this weekend will further add to Home Park being considered as the number one concert venue in the South West".
