ANDERSON AND TEALE

Posted on: Fri 11 Jul 2008

ARGYLE manager Paul Sturrock has refused to write-off the possibility of Russell Anderson and Gary Teale joining his Pilgrim revolution.

Anderson, in particular, enjoyed a successful loan spell at Home Park from Sunderland at the end of last season, while Derby's Teale showed glimpses of his quality in his injury-hit stint with the Greens.

Luggy was initially hopeful of signing the pair on permanent deals but a hefty transfer fee combined with high wages has made the situation very difficult.

Luggy said: "The scenario with Anderson and Teale is that, with transfer fees and the kind of wages they are on, it would be very difficult.

"I think Anderson would be desperate to come back but it is a difficult one, although I have not totally written them off."
