PÉTER HULLMOSI
ARGYLE have accepted an offer from Premier League new boys Hull City for midfielder Péter Halmosi.
The Hungarian international winger completed his move to the KC Stadium on Wednesday after passing a medical the previous evening.
The fee for the 19-times capped Magyar has not been disclosed.
However, Argyle manager Paul Sturrock said: "A Plymouth price has been offered, and accepted.
"Péter has been a fantastic signing for us. We've had tremendous service from him and he goes to Hull with our best wishes.
"This was possibly the last chance he had to try his talents in the Premier League and I believe he deserves that opportunity.
"Like some of the treasures we've had, we enjoy good service from them, then, if we get the Plymouth prices, they go.
"So we get service and we get finance."
Péter, 29, joined the Pilgrims in January 2007 on a half-season loan from Hungarian top-flight side Debreceni VSC.
He made his Argyle debut in a 3-1 away win against Norwich City on January 13, 2007, and went on to make a further 18 appearances as the Pilgrims finished in 11th place in the Championship and reached the FA Cup quarter-finals.
He made the move permanent for a then club-record £400,000 in May last year, and was a regular member of the Argyle side that finished tenth, playing 47 games in total, starting all but five Championships matches, and scoring eight times.
Everyone at Argyle wishes Péter all the best in the next stage of his career.
