THE form of Chris Clark has been a huge bonus for Argyle this season but the man himself is not sitting back to savour the moment.
Nottingham Forest visit Home Park tomorrow and Clark is determined to help fans erase the memory of the last two home defeats to Swansea and Norwich.
Away victories at Watford and Crystal Palace have boosted confidence and the Pilgrims know a win will lift them up the Championship table.
"After the Norwich game everyone was really down and I think the Watford game came around at the right time," said Clark.
"We wanted to sort things out quickly and we put in a really good performance and a great result.
"We followed it on the Saturday [at Crystal Palace] with the same kind of performance. It's important we carry that into our home game now.
"We will take a 1-0 but I think the fans need to see a good performance. We let ourselves down a bit in the Swansea and Norwich games and it's about time we put in a good performance.
"To go away and win two tough games and then obviously a home game now is important to keep the run going and confidence high.
"It is strange our away form has been better. I think it shows how tight it is and how difficult the league is. We can jump a few places. We have got that in mind."
Clark has been something of a utility player since his January move from Aberdeen.
In eight months as a Green, he has played in the centre of midfield, at right-back and out on the wing, and it is on the left flank he appears to have settled.
He said: "As long as you're playing, you're happy. With the last two wins, it keeps the confidence high and, personally, it is good to be playing.
"I was an inside left on a 4-3-3 at Burnley. I have been on the left in the last two games which I have enjoyed.
"I've said before I enjoy playing centre as well. I am not fussy. As long I am playing at the end of the day, I am happy playing anywhere.
"I have enjoyed my last two performances especially. Hopefully, I can keep that going and be a help to the team."
If Clark has been the quiet hero over the last two games, it is probably because Paul Gallagher has grabbed all the headlines.
The striker on loan from Blackburn Rovers was in imperious form in scoring both goals at Palace and Clark feels his fellow-Scot is forming a dangerous partnership with Kiwi Rory Fallon.
Clark said: "He [Gallagher] is a good footballer and very comfortable on the ball.
"We need someone to hold onto the ball and give everyone a break. He gives defenders and midfielders time to get up the field, and he is creative as well.
"We have looked a bit more dangerous going forward. He has got a physical presence and I think he has worked well with Rory."
Following the win at Palace, Clark was given the ultimate accolade for an Argyle winger: comparison to former favourite David Norris.
The two men met briefly in January before Chuck was snapped up by Ipswich Town.
"I knew David was a good player," said Clark. "I obviously also heard from other players how good a player he was and he was kind to me when I first arrived."
