CHRIS Clark has undoubtedly been one of Argyle's most consistent performers this season.

The energetic Scot has made the left side of midfield his position with a string of superb displays but manager Paul Sturrock believes a bout of forgetfulness has set him back.

Successive defeats to Blackpool and Doncaster has heaped pressure on Argyle ahead of tonight's visit of Birmingham City to Home Park and Luggy has called on Clark to be more advanced in his play.

"Chris, in the last couple of games, would be the first to admit that he has not played to the standards he has been achieving," said Luggy.

"He was exceptional in the Cardiff game. Since then, he has been one of the players whose forgotten what was making him good.

"He is not getting as far up the pitch as he was. He played so high up the pitch at Crystal Palace and got one on one with [Danny] Butterfield, and caused all sorts of concern. That is the kind of area I want him to play in."
