CRAIG Cathcart has been a revelation since joining Argyle on loan from Manchester United in the summer but he now needs to be patient.
The 19-year-old forced his way into the team after Kristián Timár's sending off in the September defeat to Norwich but was recently left out for the home games against Birmingham and QPR.
It has taken well over two months for the Hungarian to regain his place and manager Paul Sturrock explained that Cathcart's omission from the last two games was not a reflection of his performances.
"Cathcart has come out of the team in the last two games and it has been nothing to do with his performances," said Luggy.
"He is a 19-year-old lad who has had to combat a strength thing in this league, which he has done very well.
"I know these types of players and long stays in the team can affect them, and drain them.
"I have taken him out for the rest I feel he needs. There will be times when we need him and he will be fresh.
"He is obviously disappointed but I have made it plain to him that is the reason why."
