ROMAIN Larrieu performed miracles to guide Argyle to a hard-fought 1-1 drawat Preston North End.
His display at Deepdale followed on from a cracking showing in the 0-0 draw at Ipswich on Saturday to banish the memory of his rare error in the Westcountry derby defeat to Bristol City last week.
Manager Paul Sturrock was naturally full of praise for his French keeper, who has battled back from almost two years of health problems to emerge as one of Argyle's most consistent performers of the current campaign.
"Romain had three exceptional saves, one of which was one of the best I've seen for a long, long time," said Luggy.
"He's come away from these last two games and he's shown that enthusiasm and athleticism that I knew he had. He is a top quality goalkeeper and at 32 he is just maturing as a goalkeeper.
"He's been in that form all season and he's been a catalyst to everything good to do with Plymouth Argyle.
"He's been unfortunate with all his problems, but we've stuck by him and he's repaid us ten-fold."
