ARGYLE'S players have shown their gratitude to those members of the Green Army who travelled to Preston by announcing they will pay for their match tickets against Charlton on Saturday.
Nineteen fans made the journey to Deepdale in freezing temperatures to watch the Pilgrims' secure a 1-1 draw last Tuesday night and this dedication has not gone unnoticed.
Argyle captain Karl Duguid said: "We heard that 19 people were coming up from Plymouth and knew what a journey it was with the extreme weather.
"We knew how bad it was and it just showed their dedication.
"It's was nice to have some people there.
"We came to a decision that the lads would pay for the 19 ourselves.
"We were originally going to pay for the Preston tickets but that wasn't possible so we will now pay for the Charlton game.
"We just appreciated what they had done, coming all that way knowing that all the other games were getting called off."
The club has previously announced that it will be providing free coach travel to the Valley for those supporters.
