Posted on: Wed 25 Mar 2009

ARGYLE manager Paul Sturrock is disappointed with the hostility that was shown by supporters towards Steve MacLean on Saturday.

The striker played the final ten minutes against Burnley after replacing Jamie Mackie but was welcomed with a few negative jeers.

"There always seems to be one or two in a football club and in this case he's the one getting it," said Luggy.

"His main purchase as a centre-forward is where I think the grievance has come from.

"Basically, and he will be the first to admit it, it's because of his lack of goals. It doesn't help and its unfortunate he's taken the can.

"It would be nice and appreciated if supporters tried to get behind the team at this minute."
