ARGYLE'S 1-1 draw at Birmingham on Easter Monday, raised them to 50 points, four ahead of three teams in or around the Championship relegation zone - Barnsley, Norwich City and Nottingham Forest - with three matches to play.
Unlike the previous Saturday away game, when Argyle's win at Blackpool was complemented by bad results for all of their relegation rivals, not everything went for the Pilgrims at other grounds.
Manager Paul Sturrock has been preaching that 52 points will be enough to secure Championship football for a sixth successive season and believes that is achievable at home to Doncaster on Saturday.
Luggy said: "I had a sneaky feeling that it was going to go against us today, for the simple reason that the Blackpool weekend went all for us.
"What's happened is we've now got another one into the scenario, in Barnsley. They have got a game in hand but they are four points behind us - that's two games.
"Every one of [Barnsley, Norwich and Nottingham Forest] has got to win two games to our none[to overtake Argyle].
"We're at home next Saturday, and, if we get the troops rallied and riled as they have been in the last couple of games, I am confident we will get the result we need."
