In second place is a player, who has formed the backbone of the Argyle defence for the last three years. A terrific reader of the game and a man who seems to revel in the art of defending. Second in your vote is Marcel Seip.

The winner received over 50% of the total vote. He is a man we all respect for his integrity and courage. He is a player we all admire for his composure under pressure. On many occasions this season, he has been the main reason we have turned draws into wins, and losses into draws. A true gentleman, the longest-serving in the current Pilgrim squad, and your Plymouth Argyle Player of the Season for 2008-09, Le Keeper, Romain Larrieu.
