ARGYLE have been overlooked by the BBC for live TV coverage.

The Beeb have announced the first four Coca-Cola Championship matches of their ten-game live package for next season, with fallen giants Newcastle United featuring twice.

Saturday, August 8 West Bromwich Albion v Newcastle United (BBC1, 5.30pm);

Saturday, September 26 Ipswich Town v Newcastle United (5.30pm, channel to be confirmed);

Saturday, October 24 Derby County v Queens Park Rangers (BBC2, 5.30 pm);

Sunday, November 1 Cardiff City v Nottingham Forest (BBC1, 2pm).

The games mark a return of live Championship football for the first time since 1987 and will also be broadcast live at BBC Sport Online.

Further details about the BBC's Football League coverage will be announced shortly.

But don't hold your breath.
