"IT costs a fortune to support Plymouth Argyle. With the money we spent on petrol last season, we could have bought Dietmar Van Nostrilboy."

Well, for one fan - we already have.

Argyle fan Matt Straw was so overwhelmed with the popular new Aviva television advert that he decided to get the fictional superstar's name printed on the back of his new away shirt.

The ad, which jokes about the Argyle's prospective away trip to Newcastle United this season, has attracted mass interest amongst the Pilgrim faithful.

Matt is officially the first fan to ask for Dietmar Van Nostrilboy to be printed on his shirt, but is confident he won't be the last.

"It's just comic genius really," he said,

"I think he's going to become a cult hero of the Green Army.

"I may be the first person to have it on the back of my shirt, but I'm sure many, many are going to follow."

Matt, who lives in London, where he attends college, is an Argyle season-ticket holder with his dad. He believes that the advert is a positive step for the club.

"I think it's fantastic," he said. "We don't get much press coverage as it is.

"In the Sunday papers, it's always bigger teams, so it's fantastic that we're now out on the radar and I think other teams are getting a bit jealous really," he joked.

"I even saw on some of the message boards that they are thinking of some new chants for Saturday's game against Palace."

We look forward to hearing what you come up with, and to tracking the sure-to-be glowing career of Dietmar Van Nostrilboy.
