KRISZTIÁN Timár is in line for a return to the Argyle starting line-up for tonight's visit of Watford to Home Park.
Réda Johnson's injury in Saturday's defeat at West Brom has left a hole in manager Paul Sturrock's defence, and Timár seems a natural replacement.
"Krisztián has to come back into my thoughts," said Luggy.
"I want to see anybody that comes into the team to play as well as I know they can, to get the result and keep other people out of the team.
"That is what competition for places is all about."
Bradley Wright-Phillips is also in contention for his debut after missing the opening weeks of the season with a knee problem.
Luggy, however, admitted his lack of match practice, and the competent performance of Cillian Sheridan at the Hawthorns, makes a starting berth for BWP unlikely.
"It would be very unfair [to start him]," said Luggy. "He is chomping at the bit, but Sheridan did very well when he game on and he's fit, so we have a lot of options up front."
