ALAN Gow is gradually settling into life as a Pilgrim and manager Paul Sturrock has a simple plan for future success.
Gow arguably enjoyed his best game in a Green shirt as a supporting striker to Jamie Mackie in the 1-0 win at Middlesbrough at the end of October.
Luggy's approach to his talented compatriot is to encourage the players around him is to maintain a regular supply of ball.
"He is finding his feet with the rest of the players because the only way Alan Gow is going to be a top player for us is if we get him the ball," said Luggy.
"It is something we have worked very hard on in training and I've had to emphasise it a lot. His benefit is when he has the football. There are ways and means of doing that.
"We were very successful with him off-the-front at Middlesbrough. Gow just off the striker can be a real influence against a 4-4-2.
"He is a confident lad and I think he will be a great benefit to this football club. We have to sway for him and he has to sway for us.
"He needs to be a team player and an individual that wins us football games. He has already influenced games with a certain pass, a certain cross that has led to goals.
"If you look at his goal-scoring record, he's not been prolific, but he's very much a maker of goals, especially with the Mackie-type of striker ahead of him."
