ARGYLE manager Paul Sturrock has admitted his large squad of players continues to hinder harmony at Home Park.

He has been trying to reduce the size of his squad for months and Luggy admitted keeping players happy is virtually impossible in these circumstances.

"We have to start depleting the squad," he said. "Small is beautiful in this league because, if you can get a squad where everybody thinks they have a chance of getting in the team, you can be a dangerous hombre.

"We have had too many players that felt they were on the periphery of the first-team and felt there was no opportunity.

"It can cause apples in the barrel to rot. The less players we have, the better for us. It becomes even more difficult when results don't go the right way."
