ALL THE INGREDIENTS
ARGYLE manager Paul Sturrock believes that Benin international defender Réda Johnson has all the ingredients to become a top player at Home Park.
Johnson has been on the treatment table since limping out of his full Argyle debut at West Bromwich Albion in September but finally returned from a persistent knee problem to play an hour of the reserve team defeat to Swansea on Tuesday.
Luggy felt Johnson showed signs of his potential, although match-fitness remains an issue. The big defender will now join the rest of the squad on the trip to play Leicester City on Saturday.
"He was paddling water ten minutes into the second-half but he trained yesterday, and looks up for it," said Luggy. "I am going to take him along [to Leicester] but he's not ready for 90 minutes in the first-team yet.
"I think everybody at the [reserve] game could see glimpses that he could be a quality player for us, given time.
"This lad is young and inexperienced, but he has great attributes. He is six foot three, runs like a gazelle and he can play as well, so we're pleased with the way he has developed."
