ARGYLE striker George Donnelly is on trial with League One Southampton with a view to a loan move.

Donnelly impressed Saints manager Alan Pardew in the Pilgrims' 1-1 totesport.com Combination draw with his team last month and believes that the young Liverpudlian could add a dimension to his attack.

George joined Argyle from non-league Skelmersdale United in March 2008 and enjoyed a short period on loan at Luton Town earlier this season.
