RÉDA Johnson played his first 90 minutes for Argyle since his summer arrival at Home Park and won glowing plaudits from head coach Paul Mariner.
"I thought he was outstanding," said Paul, who called up the Benin international to replace suspended Shane Lowry as Kári Árnason's centre-back partner.
"I really had no hesitation putting him in there because he's an aggressive young man; he's got a very nice left foot; he's got pace; he attacks the ball. There's not a lot that he can't do - and that's just his first [full] game.
"I'm sure he's relatively pleased with his performance, as I am extremely pleased with his performance. As I am with Arnie - I thought the two of them were terrific.
"We need to get a steady back four; we need to get steady unit; and we need players who are not involved in the starting unit to be impact players off the bench."
