GOALKEEPER Lloyd Saxton and strikers Steve MacLean and Liam Head are the only professionals named in Argyle's squad for their second round tie in the Devon FA's Westinsure St. Luke's Cup at Buckland Athletic on Tuesday evening.
Nineteen-year-old Saxton underwent a wrist operation in August, and although he has been an unused substitute in the last three first-team games, this will be his first appearance in a competitive match this campaign.
MacLean, who started the opening game of the season at Crystal Palace, has found games few and far since and has not appeared for the Pilgrims since the 3-1 defeat to West Brom at the Hawthorns in November.
With the rest of the fringe first team players involved in a behind-closed-doors friendly at Fulham earlier in the day, head of youth coaching Mike Pejic will be using the club's apprentices and schoolboys for the game which takes place at Athletic's Homers Heath ground, kick-off 7.15pm.
Squad: Lloyd Saxton, Curtis Nelson, Jordan Trott, Connor Clifford, Sam Sawyer, Luke Young, Sean Kinsella, Jake Baker, Matt Rickard, Liam Head, Steve MacLean, Raivo Varazinskis, Jack Stephens, Jamie Richards, Jed Harper-Penman, Jordan Copp, Dan Hart.
