JAMIE RETURNS

Posted on: Mon 18 Jan 2010

JAMIE Mackie has returned to full training after the bout of flu, which kept him out of the defeats to Newcastle and Crystal Palace.

Head Coach Paul Mariner was hopeful the talismanic striker could play a part in Saturday's defeat to the Eagles, but soon realised it was a lost cause.

"Jamie was back at training today, which was good to see," said Mariner. "He actually did extra today.

"When we saw him on Friday, we thought he might be able to do something for us, maybe as a sub, but it was a waste of time us testing him.

"We told him to go home, rest, get some good food in, and liquids."
