JIM Paterson has become the second Pilgrim to sign for Aberdeen on a hectic transfer deadline day.

Paterson joins Steve MacLean at Pittodrie after the two clubs agreed a deal in the last hour of the deadline day shenanigans.

Argyle signed Paterson from Motherwell in January 2008 and he immediately endeared himself to the Green Army with his versatility and sweet left-foot.

The following season saw Paterson skirting around the fringes of first-team duty and that situation has continued into this campaign.

Paterson's contract at Home Park expires in the summer of 2011.
