ARGYLE head coach Paul Mariner has some difficult decisions to make ahead of the visit of Preston North End to Home Park on Saturday.
Rory Fallon will be fighting jet-lag after a long midweek trip to play for New Zealand in Los Angeles, jeopardising his readiness to partner Jamie Mackie in attack.
Joe Mason sparkled as a substitute in last weekend's 4-3 defeat to Sheffield United, as did winger Yala Bolasie. Bradley Wright-Phillips scored for the reserves on Tuesday and Kenny Cooper is also pushing hard for a start.
"There is no doubt Joe came on and did very well indeed [at Sheffield United], as did Yala," said Mariner. "He [Bolasie] is a strong player, direct and he actually did a great job on both sides of the ball, which we needed at the time. To have both substitutes score is quite something.
"We had Bradley who scored in midweek and Kenny Cooper is obviously pushing. Joe is pushing and we haven't ruled Rory out. Something else to consider is the aerial threat Preston possess, so we'll assess that."
