ASHLEY Barnes has been recalled from his loan spell at Torquay United.
The powerful young forward made six appearances for the Gulls, helping the League Two club pull away from the relegation zone.
His time at Plainmoor has been cut short, however, as Argyle head coach Paul Mariner seeks to bolster the numbers in his squad ahead of the Saturday trip to Coventry City.
"We have brought Ashley Barnes back from Torquay because the squad is light," said Mariner.
"Barnesy can play in quite a variety of positions and we just need that option at the present moment."
