IT has taken a six-month battle with injury but Bradley Wright-Phillips has finally arrived on the Green scene.
A stunning overhead kick in the 3-2 midweek victory over Bristol City was a memorable first goal for the former Southampton striker following his summer move to Home Park.
After a cruel knee injury sustained in pre-season, Wright-Phillips could now be a key player in the final ten games of the season, starting with Saturday's trip to Scunthorpe.
"We have some difference-makers," said head coach Paul Mariner. "You could see with Bradley and the goal that he scored. I don't think anybody in the stadium thought he was going to do that, so we have people got who can make a difference.
"We've been careful with him and communicating with him all the time. Obviously he wanted to get in the first-team but we just felt that we would give him a little more time to gain confidence, and get some training under his belt.
"It looks as though we'll probably get a good 75 minutes out of him, so that's fantastic."
