ARGYLE head coach Paul Mariner did not have much to smile about as his Pilgrims went down 2-1 at Scunthorpe on Saturday, but the form of winger Yala Bolasie and the Pilgrims' pacy attacking play did gladden his heart.
Yala laid on the opening goal of the game for Jamie Mackie and linked well with the scorer and his strike partner Bradley Wright-Phillips.
Paul said: "You can see people smiling when he plays - I smile when he plays - and we need more players like that in the game.
"He's a handful and he's still learning the game.
"We're in a situation when we need players to absolutely firing on all cylinders, so, when you select a team, you need players as close to 100% as possible. At this stage of the season, it's not always possible.
"We've borne that in mind, with Brad just coming back and striking up a really good relationship with Jamie.
"With Lala coming in and making the impact that he has made, it does afford us to look as though we've got something going, going forward, which is always good stuff."
