ARGYLE head coach Paul Mariner is still buzzing about the remarkable debut performance from Onismor Bhasera.
The Zimbabwean international finally completed the paperwork for his move to Argyle on Monday and was promptly jumping on a flight from South Africa. Next, a car journey from Heathrow down to Plymouth, an afternoon rest and Baz then played 90 minutes of a high-intensity Championship game against Barnsley.
Baz, along with all the combatants from Tuesday night, has since been working on regeneration ahead of Saturday's trip to Doncaster.
"It was remarkable really, considering he hasn't trained for two weeks with the team," said Mariner. "He's been doing stuff on his own in South Africa but it was a long journey. He travelled down by car and rested up in the afternoon - it's just a measure of the professionalism.
"We gave everybody a day off Wednesday and then we had a split-session yesterday. The players that put in 90 minutes on Tuesday did a regeneration session. We have got to be very careful about what we do."
