DAVID Stockdale will play his final game for Argyle at Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
The young goalkeeper moved to Home Park on loan from Fulham in January and has produced some fantastic performances between the sticks.
He came through a dodgy patch to excel for the Greens, with the man he replaced, Romain Larrieu, providing guidance throughout.
"It has gone very well for him," said head coach Paul Mariner. "He is a young goalkeeper and he knows he has a lot to learn, and he is working under some fantastic coaches.
"He had a little blip in form where he was getting some criticism but he rose to the occasion because he is a strong character.
"His spell here has been great and as a footnote to that, Romain has been exemplary in his professionalism.
"Ro is a class act. He cares about what he's doing and he's taken a mentor role with David, which is a measure of the type of bloke he is."
